Mighty Wanderers FC Brands and Marketing Manager Greyson Chapita will leave the club at the end of this month after his contract expires on 31 July 2026, bringing to an end a successful two-year stint with the Blantyre giants.
Chapita joined the Nomads on 1 August 2024 and played a significant role in transforming the club’s commercial operations by attracting major corporate partnerships and strengthening the Mighty Wanderers brand.
Among his notable achievements was securing an MK100 million sponsorship deal with 888Bets for the 2025 season, a partnership that provided a major financial boost to the club.
He also spearheaded negotiations that resulted in a landmark MK200 million sponsorship agreement with Kingbossi for the 2026 season, one of the biggest sponsorship deals in the club’s recent history.
Beyond sponsorships, Chapita helped launch the Nyerere Membership Registration Drive in partnership with Smile Life Insurance, an initiative aimed at expanding the club’s membership base while creating sustainable revenue streams and strengthening supporter engagement.
Speaking about his departure, Chapita expressed satisfaction with what was achieved during his time at Mighty Wanderers.
He said he is proud of the progress made in enhancing the club’s commercial value and brand visibility, adding that he believes the foundations laid over the past two years have positioned the club for continued growth.
Chapita also described his decision to leave as the right time to embrace a new professional challenge, while expressing confidence that Mighty Wanderers will continue building on the progress made.
His departure marks the end of a chapter that saw the Nomads make significant strides in commercial development through strategic sponsorship agreements, innovative membership initiatives, and improved brand positioning.
Mighty Wanderers are yet to announce who will replace Chapita as Brands and Marketing Manager.
