14 students from Don Bosco Youth Technical Institute, who are studying mechanical and electrical engineering, have flown to Spain today for a month-long education visit.
The institute’s principal Fr. Michael Mbandama said the visit is aimed at motivating the students by having them experience what other youths abroad are training in.
One of the travelling students Tadala Kado said she believes the trip will offer them a lifetime experience as they will be able to relate what the local syllabus teaches with the International content
And one of the tutors accompanying the students, Joseph Pheratu said while in Spain, the students will also undergo both theory and practical sessions in their respective courses.
Fr. Mbandama says the visit has been made possible through sponsorship by the Technical Institute and the Supporting Alliance for African Mobilities with funding from the European Union (EU).
