Malawi exported 240 tonnes of soya to china, the world importer of agricultural products as part of country”s dirive to dirversity and broaden its export base.
Shipping of the commodity this week by local firm, Paramount holdings limited has been done under the Chinese soya beans protocol an open trade pact which would see Malawi exporting the crop to Beijing
The other commodities earmarked for Chinese markets include chilli, sesame and macademia nuts
China identified and certified Paramount Holding local firm to export soya beans to china and the deal is expected to benefit and bring forex in the country
Malawi investment trade centre ( MITC) has been facilitating the processes
MITC CEO Paul Kwengwere said the commencement of the export deal is a step of testing Malawi soya beans to China.
The venture not only promise chance for Paramount holdings limited, its an open contract, for MITC it is an achievements that we have broken into Chinese markets that means we can export our agricultural commodities to China.
