Boma Silomweli, A malawi Boma tizasankha mu September

By Comrade jumbe

In the wisdom of the ancients, they say, “When the hunter becomes the hunted, the jungle shall roar.” The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) must heed this ancient truth, for the cries of the people are growing louder.

History has shown us that no government built on intimidation, arrests, and fear can stand the test of time.

The foundations of such governance are like a house built on sand—destined to crumble when the storm of people’s voices rises.

We, the people, are no longer the timid flock of yesterday. “A bird that has been caged for too long will no longer fear the sky,” and so too, the Malawians of today refuse to be shackled by fear.

The politics of intimidation and arrests that MCP has adopted are but a desperate gasp for survival in a sea of growing discontent I call it last kicks of the dying horse.

Let it be known, “He who digs a pit for others will surely fall into it himself.”

Malawi is no longer a land of silent obedience but a land of awakening. Our people are speaking, their voices rising in unison to say, “Enough is enough.” The system of mafiaso governance, where the chains of fear are wielded to silence dissent, have no place in this new era.

History is watching, and it will not absolve those who betray the people. As the saying goes, “The axe forgets, but the tree remembers.”

President Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP must understand that this September’s election is not just another political event; it is a reckoning. It is a time for the people of Malawi to reclaim their power and demand accountability.

Arrests will not silence us, and intimidation will not break our spirits. “The lion does not turn around when the small dog barks.” We are resolute, unshaken by the tactics of fear.

The failure of the MCP to uphold the promises of democracy is a stain that cannot be erased.

This government, even with a second chance, has shown itself incapable of delivering for the people. As the old proverb goes, “Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.” Malawians will not be fooled again.

This September, the ballot will speak louder than the baton. The people’s cry for change will echo across the hills and valleys of our beloved Malawi. And when the dust settles, the MCP will find itself at the bottom of history’s drain, remembered as the party that killed democracy not once, but twice. “A tree that bears no fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

Let this serve as a warning: the people of Malawi are awake. We are not afraid. We will not bow to fear. Instead, we will march forward, heads held high, demanding the change that our ancestors dreamed of and that our children deserve. “The sun will set, but it will rise again, and the dawn will belong to those who endured the night.”

The days of mafiaso politics are numbered. Change is coming, and it will come through the hands of a determined, united, and fearless people. Let this September be a testament to the unbreakable spirit of Malawi.

The future belongs to us, and no chain of fear can hold back the tide of destiny.

My pen 🖊 is mightier than a sword.

Struggle continues.
