Social commentator Dr. Samuel Lwara, says the demonstrations happening in the country are a wake-up call for President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to resign for failing to address issues that Malawians are sailing through and without hope for a better tomorrow.
Lwara has claimed that President Chakwera is a person who is a new man from nowhere, and he is not the real Chakwera Malawians knew him in 2019-2020 but the Chakwera who is being seen now, is the educated dullest leader.
He said the Chakwera which Malawians have today is the worst President the country has ever had since 1994 when the country received the second independence under multiparty democracy and as such he has no clue to solve the country’s every day challenges.
Speaking through an audio clip, Lwara said President Chakwera has lost trust in the eyes of Malawians saying he must question himself that why the demonstrators were demonstrating in the City of Mzuzu while himself was at the State Lodge.
Lwara has claimed that President Chakwera is nowhere to be seen by Malawians that are hungry and angry over every day skyrocketing price of maize as ADMARC has no maize in stock, University graduates are just roaming about with no jobs for them.
He said it is not surprising to note that many graduates are preferring to work in vegetable gardens in Israel because here at home, President Chakwera cannot give them hope for mega farms while the country has smaller mega farms not suiting them as graduates.
The social commentator said if President Chakwera had wisdom, he would have taken University graduates to work in Malawi’s mega farms but, because there are only lies remaining in his head this is why he is engaging the youth on his SONA forgetting that he withdrew part of it in Parliament.
He said President Chakwera is surrounded by fools making him not to listen to the voices giving constructive criticisms to both him and his government but taking those that have good ideas to be his critic while destroying the country.
“He is meeting mbumba and chiefs who have no value in the eyes of the suffering Malawians, that is not development,” said Lwara.
He has urged Malawians that if the demonstrations they have been conducting have failed, they should find another alternative of forcing President Chakwera to step down because he has been proved to be a failure and has failed Malawians.
Lwara has finally condemned the violence and teargassing of residential areas in Mzuzu in strongest terms possible blaming President Chakwera for not receiving good intelligence of providing solutions to the country’s challenges.
