United Democratic Front’s (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi, has thanked Malawians that are joining the Movement for Change in the country to make sure that on the 16th September, 2025 General Elections, they vote for a change of government.
Muluzi said many Malawians are in pain and have no hope for a better tomorrow, they don’t have money in their pockets and they are sleeping with empty stomachs due to high cost of maize advising them to join this Movement for change in September, 2025.
He has expressed trust that with the way Malawians are suffering under the current regime, no Malawian can be encouraged to continue supporting this government but together, they will join one another to see to it that this government never bounce back into government any more.
“Malawians are in hunger crisis, have no money in their pockets, this is the time to reflect deeply to vote for leadership change in the country,” reads Muluzi‘s video clip message to Malawians.
A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, has reported to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera that many people in the Central Region particularly the Chewas, have lost interest to take part in the voting processes on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Kamphangala said he has made a research by visiting some of the districts such as Nkhotakota, Salima, Ntchisi, Dowa, Kasungu and Mchinji and has established that the Chewas have lost trust in the current leadership of President Chakwera and their option is to just remain in their houses and not voting for anyone.
He said some of the Chewas in the region are of the view of voting for former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on the claims that beside the DPP thieving in government, prices of essential goods and living standards of the people were at least affordable than in the MCP and President Chakwera.
The MCP diehard said some people are even speaking openly that they have not seen a thieving government like the MCP saying their leaders entered into government not for servant leadership but to destroy the country.
He has advised President Chakwera not to trust those surrounding him, they are deceiving him that the Chewas are rallying behind him challenging him to send MCP media team to go into the districts in the Central Region and report their findings directly to him to prove his research wrong.
“The Chewas are suffering and have lost hope that they have a leader who will bail them from their sufferings,” said Kamphangala.
He said the other thing which has demoralized the Chewas is the tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Chilima and eight others in the Chikangawa forest on the 10th June, 2024 and with the resurrection of MCP youth operatives hacking innocent people with panga knives, most of the Chewas are saying enough is enough with the MCP.
Kamphangala has finally advised the whole MCP executive to concentrate with the Central Region for the Chewas to restore their lost trust and renewed commitment with the party saying otherwise, he is visioning the defeat of the MCP on the 16th September, 2025 elections and if the party wins, thanks should go to the Smartmatic machines not vote from the people.
