Bakili Muluzi TV online station says its research has rated Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as the top most powerful politician in Malawi claiming that Malawians on the ground are sick and tired of having President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera as their leader.
Bakili Muluzi TV said knowing that the MCP is losing the elections as indications with public opinions and Afro-barometer results, the MCP has employed agents to work for it going around the country speaking against Professor Mutharika.
He said Dr. Michael Usi after joining Malawians to be against President Chakwera’s MCPs corruption syndrome, his popularity has increased and is far from the reach of Atupele Muluzi and Dr. Dalitso Kabambe who are seeming to be President Chakwera’s agents.
The activist has reminded Malawians that in 2019 Tonse Alliance went around the country preaching that Professor Mutharika has failed while cement was being sold at K3,500, maize seeds were being provided free but today, maize seeds is being sold at K100,000 under President Chakwera.
He said the survey showing Professor Mutharika winning the elections is not coming as a surprise observing that President Chakwera’s MPs in the Southern Region of Malawi such as Mark Botomani (Zomba), John Bande (Blantyre), Elias Karim (Chikwawa), Susan Dossi (Chikwawa) and Karim (Nsanje) are all selling the name of Professor Mutharika to win parliamentary seats.
Bakili Muluzi TV said most of those standing as independent candidates in the southern region have established that selling the name of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is almost impossible but that of Professor Mutharika who is now man of all Malawians.
He said in Nsanje South West constituency Yulita Mtiza quit the MCP to stand independent after realizing that in Nsanje, Chakwera’s name is unpopular and no one wants to hear his name as a candidate.
The activist said the MCP is using Francis Damiyano allegedly being supported by Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba, Richard Chimwendo Banda and Pastor Nick Chakwera to block a DPP candidate Walter Nyamilandu Manda from winning a parliamentary seat.
He said as the writings are on the wall, whether one likes it or not, Water Nyamilandu will be elected from the constituency as a Member of Parliament (MP) because he is a darling of the people and many are to vote for Professor Mutharika.
Bakili Muluzi TV has appealed to registered voters not to make a mistake in the ballot booth but to go straight to the maize symbol saying the black box will be found and prices of maize, cement, fertilizer and other essential commodities, will go down.
