Hope is rising once again for Malawians as former State President Dr. Joyce Banda makes a bold comeback, pledging to rescue the nation from its deepening economic woes.
Addressing a passionate crowd at Baka Primary School Ground in Karonga, Banda, alongside her running mate Right Honourable Khumbo Kachali, declared her mission clear: “End the suffering. Restore the nation. Rebuild the future.”

“We want to eradicate the torture Malawi is facing now, like oil and forex scarcity. We want to change that — just as we did in 2012,” Banda proclaimed to thunderous applause.
Backed by proven leadership and experience, Banda reminded the nation of her administration’s 2012 triumphs in steering Malawi out of similar crises. From stabilizing forex reserves to ending fuel queues, she turned economic darkness into light — and she’s ready to do it again.

What Banda Promises Malawians:
- Fuel & Forex Stability: Say goodbye to dry pumps and import hiccups.
- Fair Deals for Farmers: Better markets, better prices, real profits.
- Youth Empowerment: Business loans and support to spark innovation and jobs.
- Export-Driven Growth: A strong Malawi that trades more and begs less.
“A nation without fuel, forex, and export power is a poor nation. We will reverse that!” — Joyce Banda
Her running mate, Freedom Party President Khumbo Kachali, rallied supporters to “vote for tested leadership that delivers.” He called on citizens to “rally behind a vision that puts Malawians first.”

A Brighter Future Is Possible — But It Starts at the Ballot Box
As the 2025 elections draw near, Joyce Banda’s campaign is reigniting hope across the country. With a focus on action over empty promises, the former president is inviting Malawians to take a stand — for fuel, forex, farming, and the future.
