The Ministry of Local Government has confirmed. the death of Senior Chief Mkanda of Mchinji.
A spokesperson for the Ministry, Anjoya Mwanza, told MBC that the Senior Chief died Friday evening at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe.
Real name Ackim Phiri, Senior Chief Mkanda was elevated in 2014. He was 92.
The ministry says the burial arrangement will be announced later.
