The Democratic Progressive Party DPP has apologised to the people of the north saying it did not do well during its 10 year tenure of office but it has learnt it’s lessons and plans on bouncing back better.
The party’s vice president who also served as the country’s minister of finance during the DPP regime Goodal Gondwe however said much as the party had its shortcomings Malawians never suffered as is the case now.
Gondwe was speaking at Katoto ground Sunday afternoon where the party held its rally preaching a message of rebuilding as it gears for 2025.
The party has again commneted on the recent strict expenditure measures recently announced by President Chakwera saying government should commit more towards reducing expenditure by slashing the president, his vice and whole cabinets salaries.
