The Lilongwe Magistrate Court has granted bail to human rights leaders who organised the recent Anti -Judiciary demonstrations.
Kingsley Mpaso and seven others were formally charged with two counts namely, an act to disrespect a court order and proposing violence at an assembly.
The suspects have been released on bail on conditions that they present before the court, one surety each, worth K150 thousand, K500 thousand non-cash bond, and report to regional police offices every fortnight.
They are also not expected to travel out of the region without a permit from the regional police officers and they have been asked to surrender their travel documents.
