The Lilongwe Magistrate Court has granted bail to human rights leaders who organised the recent Anti -Judiciary demonstrations.
Kingsley Mpaso and seven others were formally charged with two counts namely, an act to disrespect a court order and proposing violence at an assembly.
The suspects have been released on bail on conditions that they present before the court, one surety each, worth K 150 thousand, K500 thousand non-cash bond, and report to regional police offices every fortnight.
They are also not expected to travel out of the region without a permit from the regional police officers and they have been asked to surrender their travel documents.
