As the current sitting of Parliament closes today, Leader of the House Richard Chimwendo Banda has defended the Tonse Alliance administration, accusing the opposition of failing to appreciate developments which the government is implementing.
His defence comes minutes after Leader of Opposition Kondwani, had criticised the government for failure to implement policies that promote social-economic development.
Chimwendo Banda cited a number of projects which include construction and rehabilitation of roads and railway infrastructure, which the current administration is implementing.
He also said, at the request of the parliamentarians the current administration increased the Constituency Development Fund allocation for each constituency, from K40 million to K100 million.
“We pray to God that he opens the eyes of those on the other side,” said Chimwendo Banda.
