The American Academy of Pediatrics has recognized the country’s Secretary for Health in the Ministry of Health Dr Charles Mwansambo with an award for his outstanding contribution to the field of Global Health.
Mwansambo has been awarded Hillman Olness Award along with a USA-based medical doctor, Professor Charles Schubert at an event that took place in Anaheim California USA.
Speaking to MBC, Mwansambo expressed his gratitude for being recognized as a lifetime service provider and lasting contributor to global child health.
Hillman Olness Award was established in 2011 in honour of the late Liz Hillman, the late Donald Hillman, and Karen Olness.
The award recognises individuals who have devoted their careers to advancing global child health.
