A special police detectives team that was formulated to investigate a spate of robbery cases targeting Filling Stations across the country and other targeted places have arrested five suspected criminals.
The suspected criminals are connected to robbery cases that happened at Total Filling Station in Balaka, Meru Filling Station at Ngabu, Bunda Filling Station, FDH Bank at Dedza Boma and Sisters at Ulongwe Mission.
Police have also recovered assorted stolen items.

The suspects are identified as Patrick James Zimba, 36 of Mchere Village ,T/A Kapeni in Blantyre, MacDolnald KIMA Mwalija, 32 of Mpasoka Village T/A Kapeni in Blantyre.Omar Mayanika, 40 of Msemo Village, T/A Kapeni in Blantyre, Richard Mapwesera Phiri, 48 of Gamulani Village T/A Kapeni in Blantyre. Blessings Mussa Nsanama , 37 of Mwengo T/A Chikowi in Zomba.
The first suspect, Zimba was recently arrested at Chingeni while the other four were arrested in Blantyre.
Investigations are still underway as these criminals have a litany of cases on their heads.
