Women’s Legal Resource’s Centre (WOLREC) organized a one-day leadership clinic session at Chibanzi Community day Secondary School in Dowa district for the leadership club members.
The clinic session targeted members, matrons and patrons for the club. This was one of the interventions carried out in the district under a project which is implemented by WOLREC.
Speaking during the Clinic session Project Officer Prisca Nyasulu said the session will help students to understand more about leadership, politics in the context of leadership and importance of youths participation in public life.
Nyasulu called on the students to take the session seriously and that as WOLREC expects the learners to apply and emulate the knowledge gained during the meeting.
Taking his turn, patron for Chibanzi leadership club, Justice Mwale said that the Sesssions will help the students to know qualities of a good leader and how to become a good leader.
Mwale asked for more sessions with a view of enhancing students understanding of leadership skills in the club.
On her part, one of the club member Maria Luka thanked the organization for organizing the one day leadership session in their school, Maria said that the interventions by WOLREC will help the students to become reliable citizens of the country.
Luka also asked for more interventions with a view of enhancing understanding of leadership skills amongst students.
This project is being implemented at Chibanzi CDSS and Kamphenga CDDS in Dowa district, Mpherere CDSS and Mbomba secondary school in Ntchisi district with funding from Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and Dan church Aid (DCA) country joint program.
