The Kwezy Bus Northern Region Netball Bonanza has indeed left a significant impact on the netball scene, not only in the northern region but across the whole country.
This two-day bonanza, held at Katoto Sports Complex in Mzuzu over the weekend, showcased emerging talents, particularly 16-year-old Praise Simbeye from Chitipa district. Her impressive basket-scoring abilities caught the attention of many, highlighting her potential to become a valuable asset to Malawi’s national netball team.
The Chairperson for the Netball Association of Malawi in the northern region, Tamala Fweta Mkandawire, expressed excitement about promising young talents like Simbeye.
Kwezy Bus Company’s northern regional manager, Mapulanga Francisco Vitsitsi, also shared his enthusiasm for the netball bonanza’s success and the overwhelming response it received.
Vitsitsi mentioned that the company remains committed to nurturing and exposing raw talent, promising to return with even bigger and better support for the netball fraternity.
“It’s inspiring to see such initiatives that not only promote sports but also empower young athletes and create opportunities for them to shine on a larger stage,” said Vitsitsi.
He further mentioned that Kwezy Coach Service is making great strides, having received the prestigious Commuter Operator Award from the Consumers Association of Malawi. This accolade motivated the company to celebrate the milestone by sponsoring the regional netball bonanza in the North.
Kwezy Coach Services injected K6 million into the Northern Region Netball Bonanza, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in managing the netball competition.
