Dani Olmo is back

Midfielder came on in the 76th minute of the game with Bayern, his hamstring injury now a thing of the past

Just over a month after he pulled his right hamstring against Girona on September 15, Dani Olmo made his return this Wednesday night in the spectacular 4-1 defeat of Bayern Munich at the Estadi Olímpic.Get Dani Olmo’s shirtGet kitted out like the FC Barcelona starBUY HERE

The Catalan was declared back to full fitness last Sunday, and was in the squad for the 5-1 roasting of Sevilla, but he didn’t get to play that evening. That moment, instead, came in tonight’s Champions League clash.

He had the honour of replacing hat-trick hero Raphinha, and the stadium rose to their feet not only to recognise the Brazilian for his amazing performance, but also to welcome back a player who had started the season so brilliantly before being struck by injury. There wasn’t much time for Olmo to contribute to a game that was already well won by the time he entered the fray, but he still managed to slip in a few touches of class before the final whistle
