In a dramatic turn of events, former Malawi National Football team head coach Patrick Mabedi is reported to have taken the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) to court over unfair dismissal.
Mabedi is seeking a whopping 157 million Malawi kwacha in compensation.
Through his lawyers, led by Counsel David Kanyenda, Mabedi has submitted an application to the Blantyre Labour Court to summon FAM over the allegations.
This development comes barely weeks after Mabedi was fired by FAM, with the association claiming it was a mutual agreement without compensation.
However, it appears Mabedi disagrees with FAM’s narrative, and is now seeking justice through the courts.
This case is set to be a thrilling showdown between Mabedi and FAM, with the former coach determined to get the compensation he feels he deserves.
