Every time you release a Fake press statement, pay attention to grammar and style
By Burnett Munthali
The art of written communication holds a significant place in shaping perceptions, influencing decisions, and safeguarding the credibility of any institution or organization. For the United Transformation Movement (UTM), our signature approach to communication is marked by sophistication, coherence, and grammatical excellence. It is this distinct style that sets us apart from others in the Malawian political landscape.
However, it has come to our attention that certain individuals or groups have taken to circulating fake press statements under our banner. While the intention behind these fabricated documents may be to confuse or discredit, their lack of linguistic finesse, poor grammar, and evident departure from our established style immediately betrays their inauthenticity.
To those engaging in this immature and counterproductive activity, a word of advice: if you insist on forging press releases, at least do so with the sophistication befitting our brand. Ensure your syntax is flawless, your vocabulary is refined, and your tone resonates with the gravitas that characterizes UTM. Anything less only exposes your mischief and diminishes your credibility.

As a movement committed to transformative governance and accountability, we will not tolerate these juvenile antics. Our communication is a reflection of our values, and we take great pride in ensuring that every word we release to the public aligns with our mission of transparency, intellectual rigor, and political maturity.
Those behind these fabrications must cease immediately. Malawi deserves a political discourse rooted in integrity, not petty theatrics. The people of this nation are intelligent and discerning; they can identify genuine statements from poorly executed frauds.
In conclusion, let us focus on the issues that matter—poverty alleviation, economic growth, and governance reforms—rather than wasting time on deceptive schemes. If you cannot contribute positively to the national discourse, at least spare us the embarrassment of poorly constructed forgeries.
Malawi deserves better. UTM deserves better. The time for juvenile distractions is over. Let us rise to the challenge of building a mature, respectful political environment for the benefit of all Malawians.
