Future 4All praised for inclusive and disability-friendly initiatives in Ntcheu

The Ntcheu District Monitoring and Analysis Officer for the Non-Governmental Regulatory Authority (NGORA), Priyanka Somanje, has commended Future 4All, a local organization, for establishing inclusive and disability-friendly facilities in the district.

Speaking during a visit to various Community-Based Childcare Centres (CBCCs) operated by Future 4All, Somanje highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering a better future for children. She noted that creating safe and nurturing spaces where children can learn, grow, and thrive is critical to achieving the Malawi 2063 vision.

“These inclusive facilities are not just a step forward for the district but also for the nation. They lay the groundwork for a generation that values equality, accessibility, and education,” Somanje stated.

The Executive Director of Future 4All, Lemani Ngaiyaye, emphasized the organization’s commitment to teaching children from a young age. He explained that this approach aligns with the broader goals of Malawi 2063, which seeks to build a prosperous and inclusive nation.

“Future 4All believes in early childhood education as the foundation for a better society. By creating environments that cater to all children, including those with disabilities, we ensure no child is left behind in their journey toward achieving their potential,” Ngaiyaye said.

Currently, Future 4All operates seven CBCCs in Ntcheu, directly benefiting over 465 children. These centers are supported by funding from Egmont Trust and the Segal Family Foundation, enabling the organization to provide critical resources and infrastructure to enhance the quality of early childhood education.

The organization’s efforts have not only improved access to education but also demonstrated a model for integrating inclusivity into community development projects.

Future 4All’s initiatives and the recognition from NGORA underline the importance of investing in early childhood education as a pathway to achieving Malawi’s long-term development goals. By addressing the needs of all children, including those with disabilities, Future 4All sets an example for other organizations to follow in building a more equitable and prosperous Malawi.

For Ntcheu and beyond, the work of Future 4All is a testament to the transformative power of inclusive education.
