Hon. Grant Ndecha, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Machinga South, was elected as the new Chairperson of the Committee. This decision comes after the previous Chairperson, Hon. Joyce Chitsulo, was appointed by President Lazarus Chakwera as the Deputy Minister of Local Government, Unity, and Culture, prompting the need for a leadership transition.
