President of Chilungamo Party Comrade Alhaji Imraan Jumbe, says no government can be built on intimidation, or arrests and fear can stand the test of time observing that the foundations of such governance are like a house built on sand.
Alhaji Jumbe says the politics of intimidation and arrests that the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has adopted are but a desperate gasp for survival in a sea of growing discontent –kicks of the dying horse that “He Who digs a pit for others, will surely fall into it himself”
He says Malawi is no longer a land of silent obedience but a land of awakening, the people are speaking and their voices rising in unison Enough is Enough saying the system of mafiaso governance where the chain of fear are wielded to silence, and dissent, have no place in this new era.
Writing on his face book page, Alhaji Jumbe says history is watching and it will not absorb those who betray the people saying President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP must understand that this September’s election is not just another political event, it is a time for the people of Malawi to reclaim their power and demand accountability.
Jumbe has assured President Chakwera and MCP that arrests will not silence the citizens and intimidation will not break their spirits, they are resolute, unshaken by the tactics of fear saying the failure of the MCP to uphold the promises of democracy is a stain that cannot be erased.
He says this MCP government even with a second chance, has shown itself incapable of delivering for the people assuring it that Malawians will not be fooled again saying this September, the ballot will speak louder than the baton.
The Party President says the people’s cry for change will echo across the hills and valleys of Malawi and when the dust settles, the MCP will find itself at the bottom of history’s drain remembered as the Party that killed democracy not once but twice.
“The people of Malawi are awake, we are not afraid, we will not bow to fear instead, we will march forward heads held high demanding the change that our ancestors dreamed of and that our children deserve,” reads Alhaji Jumbe’s writing on the wall.
Comrade Alhaji Jumbe has warned President Chakwera and MCP that the days of mafiaso politics are numbered, change is coming, it will come through the hands of a determined, united, and fearless people.
He has finally said that the September, 2025 elections will be a testament to the unbreakable spirit of Malawi advising patriotic Malawians that the future belongs to them and no chain of fear can hold back the tide of destiny.
