Malawian politician Sameer Suleiman has expressed concern over the rising cost of essential goods, saying the situation is troubling many Malawians.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Rumphi District, Suleiman highlighted that key items such as cooking oil, fuel, and soya pieces have become significantly more expensive compared to when his party was in government.
He argued that the high cost of living in Malawi is making it harder for ordinary citizens to survive.
Suleiman concluded his speech with a proverb, saying: “When a parent sends a child to school, they expect that child to progress to the next class.”
This statement, he explained, reflects the need for leadership that delivers progress and improves people’s lives
