Chilima’s widow reposses UTM Headquarters

In a dramatic turn of events, the widow of former Vice President Saulos Klaus Chilima has repossessed the building in Area 10, Lilongwe, which was being used as the headquarters of the UTM party. The building, which is owned by the Chilima family, was being used by the party without permission.

According to sources, the widow, Madam Mary Chilima, took possession of the building yesterday evening, effectively evicting the UTM party from the premises. The move is seen as a significant blow to the party, which has been using the building as its headquarters.

The development comes amidst reports that the Chilima family is planning to launch a new foundation in honor of the late Vice President. The foundation, which is expected to be launched soon, will reportedly focus on promoting the legacy of Dr. Chilima and supporting various charitable causes.

Meanwhile,the foundation has been launched and the UTM headquarters,which has been taken by Mary Chilima will be used as offices for the newly launched SKC foundation.

The UTM party has not yet commented on the development, but sources within the party indicate that they are exploring alternative arrangements for their headquarters. The party’s leadership is expected to issue a statement on the matter soon.
