Political activist Bon Kalindo has advised President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to accept that he has failed to govern the country and instead resign, for him to be respected observing that the message which the vendors of Lilongwe brought to the Parliament Building is a lesson that Malawians don’t want Chakwera as their President.
Kalindo said the demos for vendors were just warm- up activities assuring the MCP government that the mother demos are coming soon after Mec of Justice Annabel Mtalimanja declare President Chakwera the winner of the 16th September, 2025 elections.
He has warned the MCP government that Malawians are all aware of all the elections rigging schemes to favor President Chakwera saying what was observed at the Parliament Building to see Ministers running away from angry people pelting stones at them will be small.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo has thanked Lilongwe vendors for showing unity beside in their group having MCP thugs who have been disrupting activists and opposition party rallies and making Lilongwe a-no-go area only for the MCP.
Kalindo has encouraged vendors not only those of Lilongwe but Mzuzu, Karonga, Mangochi, Zomba and Blantyre backward never and forward ever claiming that the MCP government under President Chakwera has for 5 years been taking Malawi as their garden for self- enrichment.
He has expressed shock and dismay hearing media reports that Minister of Local Government Richard Chimwendo Banda promised to take forex from the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) to give Kaunjika sellers to sustain their businesses.
The activist said what Chimwendo Banda told the vendors is a confirmation that the MCP government has forex at the Reserve Bank of Malawi and it should not fool Malawians that the country has no forex while forex itself is in their houses.
He has urged Chimwendo Banda to continue making lies as he is used to do that saying Malawians are enlightened people, they are not the same as they were in 2020 and they will judge President Chakwera and the MCP on 16th September, 2025.
“A lesson from mistake could have be drawn on 14th February, 2025 when President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera delivered a half-trust SONA presenting completed projects on paper while the claimed projects are not existing on the ground,” said Kalindo.
He has appealed to vendors of Blantyre, Limbe, Mzuzu, Zomba and other areas across the country not to share sweets to MCP politicians claiming that they have lied to Malawians for 5 years and they should not be given another 5 years of lies.
