By Comrade jumbe.
The MCP government’s recent campaign strategies have exposed their desperation and failure to address the real issues affecting Malawians.
Their sudden use of Minister Mumba as a so-called champion of workers’ rights is nothing but a political gimmick.
Where was this concern for workers’ dignity over the past four years? Is it not lumumba himself who was caught stealing trucks full of maize of admarc snuggling them to Tanzania and today he wants to pretend as if he is an angel when it is just months before the elections?
This is nothing more than a miscalculated attempt to deceive the people into believing that MCP is fighting for them when, in reality, they have neglected them for years mcp is not for the interests of workers rights.
Furthermore, the harassment of Indian and foreign business owners under the guise of fighting forex shortages is not only reckless but also damaging to the economy further.
The idea that raiding people’s homes will solve our forex crisis is laughable.
A whole cabinet minister going door to door, threatening businesses, and talking about “ambushing” people like robbers—are we serious as a nation?
This kind of approach only scares investors and worsens the economic situation.
Malawi needs forex, and chasing it from homes instead of implementing sound economic policies is proof that this government has run out of ideas.
The real problem Malawi faces is not forex hidden in people’s houses; it is the result of MCP’s corruption, mismanagement of funds, and failure to implement policies that can generate revenue.
The economy has collapsed under their watch, and now they are looking for scapegoats instead of taking responsibility.
The solution is not to hunt forex in private homes—it is to remove this failed government and bring in leadership that is competent, visionary, and ready to serve Malawians as mandated by the people.
My pen is mightier than a sword.
