Independent politicians from various political parties such as DPP, MCP, UTM and UDF are inviting one another to join forces for change through their Alliance to bring positive change to Malawians out of the hands of recycled and greedy politicians who are taking themselves as potential servant leaders not others.
Recent primary elections and the ongoing ones, have and are proving to itself that political parties are doing their best to make sure that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera bounce back into government and that in the Parliament, there will be no new faces.
It is the wish of each and every Malawian to see to it that from the 17th September, 2025 the country goes back to factory setting with new faces as Members of Parliament (MPs) of new ideas and mindset change that joining Parliament should not be supporting the agendas of parties forgetting the electorate.
As frustrations are being seen from shadow parliamentarians who are being seen as rejected stones in primary elections, the 16th September, 2025 elections will provide chance to independent candidates to be elected to Parliament as they are having blessings of their constituents and not from there parties.
Shadow parliamentarians in constituencies where there are incumbent Members of Parliament (MPs) are being encouraged to not to waste their resources to for primary elections but to join forces for change as independent candidates.
Vitumbiko Mumba Is one such example that beside having many followers in his Mzimba central constituency is not being favored by the MCP, this is not surprising that during the MCP elective conference in Lilongwe, he was rejected by the party and has become a rejected stone.
Kasungu South Constituency has seen a candidate Manguluti loved by the constituents losing to Minister of Finance in the MCP led government Simplex Chithyola Banda with a wide margin and if the candidate can stand independent, he will upset the tables.
An independent Presidential aspirant Isaiah Emmanuel Sunganimoyo said breaking party strongholds, allowing law makers to make decisions based on constituent needs and providing genuine representation of marginalized groups demands an independent government to be addressing the issues.
Sunganimoyo gave examples of the world’s successful independent leaders such as Algerian President Abidel Madjid Tebboure, Tunisian President Keus Saied and Canada’s independent senators saying they played a crucial role in shaping legislation and holding government accountable.
He has expressed optimistic that if independent politicians join one force for change, together, they can form a strong coalition, creating a comprehensive platform addressing Malawi’s challenges and foster collaboration across political party lines to active common goals.
“By joining one Alliance, we will be part of a Movement prioritizing Malawian needs over political party interests, together we can build a brighter future for our nation,” said Sunganimoyo.
He has reminded Malawians of key challenges that have rocked President Chakwera’s administration such as failure to change key government positions, negligence and corruption, stubbornness and poor decision-making, tribal dynamics, lack of clear policy direction and economic management, saying all these can be addressed if the country can have independent politicians in the August House.
