Jumah claps hands for IMF-ECF cancellation in Malawi

By Vincent Gunde

President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, says the cancellation of the 175 million US Dollars Extended Credit Facility by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), is blessings in disguise advising Malawians to let them go.

Jumah said IMF has done a great thing for ceiling off the country’s doors saying this should be a wake-up call to the registered voters in Malawi to elect a serious government on the 16th September, 2025 elections.

He said the IMF has been a monster to African countries that there is no free lunch, money has been chaining African countries with their leaders becoming puppets of the western world and reduced Africans as beggars.

Speaking through his voter and civic education campaign, Jumah said the snake is out of their houses advising Malawians that their future is from within claiming that Malawi is not a poor country but politicians are the ones making it poor.

Jumah said players in government and politicians from a party in government are crying for IMF’s cancellation of Extended Credit Facility claiming that IMF money has made others to be billionaires over a single night in Malawi.

He said there is no African country which has succeeded with IMF money claiming that Malawi is one of the poorest country and is chained by loans as a result of heavy borrowings for consumption by politicians in government with nothing for the country and citizens.

The MRP President said the cancellation of the Extended Credibility to Malawi should teach a lesson to Malawian leaders that IMF is not a friend to African countries and black people because their money is attached with conditions to countries.

Jumah has urged the coming 7th government to be elected on the 16th September, 2025 to stop begging and use the available abundant resources God has given Malawi such as 5 beautiful lakes, precious minerals and cannabis sativa (chamba) to sale and have money for the country.

“Time has come for government to stop begging from international financial institutions like the IMF and World Bank, the country is blessed with the necessary resources to make it rich within10 to 15 years,” said Jumah.

He has challenged Malawians that the choice is theirs, to vote for leaders with mindset change on the 16th September, 2025, vote for a government which will sale rubi, uranium, coal, rutile and rear earth for their benefit and the country and not in secret for politicians’ riches.
