Karonga based rights activist Lytone Mangochi, has claimed that the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has a track record of dirty history from Kamuzu Banda to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, saying the MCP is the same as was yesterday.
Mangochi said critics of Kamuzu Banda and the MCP were tied off their hands and legs with big stones and thrown into the Shire River to be used as meat for crocodiles observing that this history is still in the midst of the MCP and its leader President Chakwera.
He said the history of dictatorship of Kamuzu Banda has grown wings and the MCP of President Chakwera has inherited the same killing their opponents so that the party remain one of the strongest in the country as the most feared party.
Speaking through a video clip, Mangochi has condemned the remarks which were made by MCP Regional Chairman for the Centre Mr. Patrick Zebron Chilondola in Mchinji that the party’s next assignment is to deal with UTM President Dr. Dalitso Kabambe head-on.
Mangochi said the remarks made by Chilondola should not be treated lightly claiming that the same were made by the former MCP Secretary General Eisenhower Mkaka that they will seat down Dr. Saulosi Chilima on the claims that MCP politics is done at night.
He said the words by Mkaka produced fruits of death of Dr. Chilima when he was tragically killed in the Chikangawa forest on the 10th June, 2024 and there are fears that the MCP is allegedly planning to repeat the same history to Dr. Dalitso Kabambe.
The activist said if he was Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, he would take Chilondola head-on as his words to meet in a court of law to clarify what he meant by his words which were said before President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera at a rally and Chakera didn’t condemn those careless remarks.
He has advised Chilondola and the MCP that before taking Dr. Kabambe head-on, they should provide solutions to the country’s challenges starting from President Chakwera’s leadership failure, skyrocketing prices of essential prices, and hunger, among others.
“The MCP fought against Age Bill of Professor Mutharika, failed, ruling the country, failed, and they want to deal with Dr. Kabambe head-on, these people are witches,” said Mangochi.
He said the MCP of Kamuzu Banda was praising itself of initiating development projects which were started by Sir Geoffrey Corby and today, the MCP of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera is doing the same boasting of the projects started by Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the DPP.
Mangochi has finally challenged the MCP that even their youth operatives are using pangas and guns to be terrorizing, hacking, abusing innocent people in Malawi, Malawians will not be afraid, they are all ready to be killed, change of government is coming on the 16th September, 2025.
