We Refuse to Return to Dictatorship: Hands Off Hon. Kamlepo Kalua

By Comrade Jumbe

Malawi stands today as a democratic nation — a hard-earned status born out of the sacrifices of our heroes, the cries of our people, and the hope for a future built on freedom, justice, and human dignity.

We must never allow ourselves to slide back into the shadows of dictatorship, violence, and political terror.

Today, we raise our voices — not in fear, but in defiance — to call out a deeply disturbing plot that threatens not only a man, but the soul of our democracy.

Honorable Kamlepo Kalua, a fearless and outspoken servant of the people, is under serious death threats.

Imran Jumbe

We have credible information that a killer has been hired and is actively pursuing this mission using a Ugandan mobile number.

We even have the numbers involved. This is no idle threat. This is not rumor. This is the very embodiment of political assassination — a brutal tool of the past that must be buried with it.

Let it be known, loud and clear, that attacking Comrade Kamlepo is attacking all of us.

He is not just a political figure; he is a symbol of bold truth-telling in the face of corrupt power.

We refuse to sit silently while dark forces attempt to eliminate voices of resistance through bullets and fear.

We therefore send this strong and unshakable warning: To the Malawi Congress Party and to all political entities that believe violence is a shortcut to silencing opponents — this is not 1971. This is 2025.

Malawi belongs to the people, not to thugs hiding behind party colours. We are watching. We are documenting. And we are ready to rise in defense of our democracy.

We demand full protection for Hon. Kamlepo Kalua. We demand a swift investigation into the death threats.

We call upon the Malawi Police Service, the National Intelligence Service, and the Malawi Human Rights Commission to act now. If they fail to do so, they too will stand exposed before the people.

To our fellow Malawians: let us remain vigilant. Let us be united. The silence of good citizens is the oxygen of tyranny.

We must speak up. We must resist. We must protect one another, for this country is ours — and no gun or assassin will ever take that from us again.

Democracy is non-negotiable. Hands off Kamlepo Kalua. Hands off Malawi.
