Kalindo blames Chakwera’s script for visitors at State House

By Vincent Gunde

Political activist Bon Kalindo has blamed President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s script he is using of dishing out K50,000s to visitors coming to dine with him at the State House saying this is just a waste of resources which cannot change Malawians thinking on the ground.

Kalindo has blamed President Chakwera’s advisors for giving him that script that he can win back the hearts of the electorate through free for all money State House is dishing as part of President Chakwera’s rigging scheme to bounce back into government.

He has lamented that President Chakwera is doing this at a time that hospitals are running without drugs, hunger is in the midst of Malawians assuring him that as the writings are on the wall, those people coming to the State House won’t vote for him only the Smartmatic machines will do.

Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said on Saturday President Chakwera invited all teachers in Mangochi district to a meeting with him at the Chikoko Bay Lodge and on their way back home, the teachers were speaking on top of their voices questioning President Chakwera that where was he by inviting them after knowing that there are only 3 months to go before the elections?

In the audio clip circulating in various media platforms, the teachers are arguing that President Chakwera has failed to govern Malawians and he is imposing himself to be the President while Malawians don’t want him as their President.

“Perhaps, President Chakwera invited us so that he should thank us for receiving his punishment and that he is leving State House for good, thank you, I have punished you,” one is heard in the audio clip.

One teacher complained bitterly that salaries for teachers are too small to buy bread at K3,200, sugar K5000, wishing President Chakwera all the best for bringing into Malawians un told sufferings which they have not experienced before.

President Chakwera has of late open the gates of State House for visitors that are being ferried by buses, minibuses and lorries from all the districts in Malawi and apart of dining together with them, K50,000s are being dished out to the individuals invited while chiefs are pocketing K80,000s each.

Mai Isabel Kalindang’oma of Mchezi in Lilongwe, has written a food for thought on her face book page, appealing to President Chakwera that while he is dishing out the K50,000s free for all money to people visiting him, he should not forget that Malawi has K16.1 trillion national debts.

She said the money President Chakwera is throwing into deep waters will not be recovered and buy votes from the electorate that already have made intelligent decisions of voting out President Chakwera from government on the 16th September, 2025 elections.

The woman has pleaded with the inner circle surrounding President Chakwera that money and power will not buy votes from the electorate and if the voting be done manually as many Malawians are demanding, President Chakwera will fall miserably.

“Let the President come back to his senses that money will not buy votes from the citizens that are angry and hungry,” said Kalindang’oma.
