President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has prayed for the departed Mwanza West parliamentarian Joyce Chitsulo’s legacy to ignite in all Malawians the desire to work for the good of its political, religious, regional and tribal differences.
President Chakwera has prayed for Malawians to be united as one people as they mourn the passing of this great daughter of Malawi, Joyce Chitsulo extending his heartfelt condolences to the Chitsulo family and the people of Mwanza West constituency on the sudden passing of Hon. Joyce Chitsulo.
In his condolence message, President Chakwera says he knew Joyce Chitsulo as a person whose personal motto and mission was “Development over politics” ‘Ndale sitidya koma chitukuko” saying it is tragic that such a patriotic and courageous citizen has departed at such a time of the country’s national development.
“Hon. Joyce Chitsulo was, until her death, Deputy Minister of Local Government, Culture and Unity,”
Leader of Opposition in Parliament Dr. George Chaponda, says the loss of a woman leader is a loss to the entire nation describing Joyce Chitsulo as one of the Members of Parliament (MPs) who made significant contributions to parliamentary debates.
On his part, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) national Publicity Secretary Shadric Namalomba, has written a food for thought on his face book page demanding Malawians to open their eyes that why MCP always MCP?
Namalomba says Mohammad Sidik Mia, former member of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and rose to the position of Vice President, but his life was cut short under mysterious circumstances.
He says Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima, a prominent figure within the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) as Vice State President, formed an alliance with the Malawi Congress Party through his own party, UTM, he met his untimely demise in a tragic plane crash.
“Today, we mourn the loss of Joyce Chitsulo, also originally from the DPP, and joined MCP as its Deputy Minister, has passed away, she was recently involved in a car accident, these unfortunate deaths are raising questions as to why only the MCP is at the epic of such targets,” reads Namalomba’s writings on the wall.
