A Concerned citizen of Malawi has called on President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to dismiss Ministers who are behind supporting thugs from youth operatives that are terrorizing, hacking, threatening and intimidating innocent people refraining them from holding peaceful demonstrations.
The citizen has claimed that the MCP government knows the identities of these thugs and who are the sponsoring them saying this is why police officers manning protests are afraid to arrest them for breaking the law.
He has alleged that the MCP government is behind buying brand new panga knives distributing to the youth operatives advising President Chakwera that if he fails to bring these thugs to book, Malawians will make a conclusion that he is part of those supporting the thugs to carry out various offences against peaceful demonstrators.
Speaking in one of the television station during phone-in calls, the citizen has asked President Chakwera to show commitment that he is not behind supporting the youth operatives to be terrorizing innocent people in Malawi by firing ministers behind it.
The citizen has claimed that the Mzuzu vendors’ demonstrations held on Tuesday proved it all that there are evil people in Malawi who do not care about the lives of others wondering how the youth operatives could be brandishing their knives in the streets and in full view of police officers?
He said in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), groups which were behind terrorizing innocent people were executed in front of their communities as a lesson to the would-be offenders in the country’s renewed security measures.
The citizen says in Malawi, ministers behind funding these thugs are busy building mansions and if war broke out, their property will be the first to be targeted expressing fears that with the situation observed in Mzuzu the end result, could have been loss of lives case in point, MCP thugs.
“MCP thugs wielding pangas and vendors mobilized themselves armed with pangas, stones and catapults, if these people met, what could have been the end result? Questioned the citizen.
He said many Malawians thought that by voting for President Chakwera in June, 2020, he would bring in a new MCP with new type of politics saying he took part in the 2019 demonstrations and today, others are holding demonstrations against his government, he is buying pangas against them.
The citizen has asked youth operatives who are pocketing K50,000s to be terrorizing, and hacking people, to care first for their lives, families and those that are depending on them with a warning that any change of government, they will be refugees in their own country.
He has finally established that the alleged youth operatives who went to Mzuzu to disrupt peaceful demonstrations by the vendors were speaking fluent Chichewa meaning that they are from Dowa and Lilongwe.
