There is a saying in our villages:
“A hyena that walks like a priest does not bless—it devours in silence.”
This is the story of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP)—a party that rebranded itself as a choir of angels when it hungered for power, but has now revealed itself as the very ghost we once buried.
When they begged to be trusted again, they spoke with honeyed tongues—promising new Malawi, reform, transparency, and democratic revival. But today, Malawi sits in silence, betrayed. Because the angel we voted for has turned out to be a tyrant in disguise.
We say this without fear and with unwavering clarity: MCP has failed democracy.
It is no longer the party of hope—it is the party of control, manipulation, and political decay.
The Rot Within: Anabel Mtalimanja Must Go
We see through your silence, MCP.
Your refusal to remove Anabel Mtalimanja—a woman whose name echoes suspicion across the land—is not an accident. It is a strategy.
A well-crafted trap to rig 16 September elections, wrapped in official titles and protected by a party that fears the ballot it once begged for.
“You do not leave a fox to guard the chicken coop and claim to love poultry.”
By keeping Mtalimanja in place, MCP has made one thing clear: they do not intend to win with votes—they intend to win with schemes.
To President Lazarus Chakwera: You cannot preach integrity while protecting injustice.
The people are watching. The world is watching. And history writes in ink that never fades.
We will not whisper when we are supposed to shout.
Every time this government blocks peaceful demonstrations, it is not protecting peace—it is declaring war on the very soul of democracy.
“A leader who fears his people’s voice has already lost the right to lead.”
What are you afraid of, MCP?
The very Constitution that brought you to power is now your enemy?
You stood on the shoulders of Malawians to rise, now you crush those same shoulders to remain standing?
Let it be known across the mountains, lakes, and valleys: We will not allow this nation to be hijacked by a recycled dictatorship in a digital suit.
The People Are Awake
“When the drums of injustice grow louder, the people do not sleep—they sharpen their spears.”
Malawians are sharpening their resolve. The patience of the citizens is not a sign of weakness. It is a warning—a final grace period before the tide turns.
We say this to MCP:
Remove Anabel Mtalimanja now.
Open the democratic space.
Respect demonstrations.
Stop the games. Stop the pretense.
Or prepare to meet the full power of a nation that will no longer kneel to deception.
“No matter how many times you paint a crow white, when it caws, we still know it is not a dove.”
MCP can paint itself as progressive. It can hold press conferences and host expensive forums. But its actions are now louder than its slogans. The true face is exposed.
This is our country.
This is our democracy.
And this is our last warning.
Malawi will not walk backward into dictatorship. We, the people, will rise to protect what our fathers fought for—freedom, justice, and the dignity of every citizen.
