Veteran freedom fighter and activist Hon. Kamlepo Kalua, has called on the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) under President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to emulate the spirit of Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda who preached genuine unity and freedom in Malawi.
Kalua said it is very sad that the MCP of President Chakwera is against all those that are subscribing to the ideals totally different with that of the MCP and has plans to eliminate their lives for supporting dissenting views.
He said there is no way Malawians can have plans of killing each other because of political party hatred alleging that some MPs have vowed not to surrender their constituencies if any party wins the elections but bloodshed.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalua has claimed that some MCP youth operatives have been given guns in addition to panga knives and other offensive weapons to identify political opponents and kill them.
Kalua said President Chakwera is all aware of what is happening in the country advising him that Kamuzu Banda wanted Malawians to be loyal, discipline and united and he never talked about tribal or regional divisions.
He has warned all those that are using pangas to be hacking and terrorizing innocent people in Malawi that the same pangas will one day, hack and terrorize their family members saying they will woke-up to see that the same pangas have killed their family members,
The Freedom fighter has appealed to Malawians to love one another regardless of political party affiliations advising them that they can have guns, machetes, pangas wilding in the country’s cities terrorizing and hacking people, but one day, these weapons will not work for them.
He has assured the MCP that Malawians love the MCP for being the mother of all political parties in Malawi advising its youth operatives not to misbehave by taking Central Region for MCP describing this as bad thinking, MCP should be in all districts across the country.
Kalua said it is his prayer, hope and wish that Malawi will have peaceful elections advising Mec to try to do its best conducting elections which shall be free, fair, credible and transparent for the losers to accept honorably the results.
He has appealed to Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, the in-coming President of Malawi never and ever to revenge against the MCP basing on the atrocities it is committing to innocent people today advising him to forget about the past and start working towards building a good future for the country.
“Truth to be told, the whole country is behind Professor Mutharika that he is the only one to liberate the country out of the hands of the dirty people whose agenda is to kill their political opponents,” said Kalua.
He has advised Professor Mutharika to love each and every tribe in the country, to work competently, love Malawi and provide security to Malawians so that the people feel safe and secured that they are living in a better Malawi.
Kalua has called on Former President Dr. Bakili Muluzi to stand up to tell President Chakwera and the MCP to stop killing innocent people in Malawi claiming that Malawi is the only country that people have advising all to be patriotic to their country.
He has advised President Chakwera not to forget God because of the position he is holding of Presidency saying his legacy should matter observing that the legacy which he has left in the eyes of Malawians, is very bad for the citizens to forget him.
