Musician Rudo Mkukupa Chakwera is set to host an exciting two-day event titled the Ulendo Extended Playlist (EP) Listening Party on 18 and 19 July.
The event will feature Zambian artist Abel Chungu, adding a regional flavor to the musical celebrations.
The festivities will kick off with a corporate gathering at Kumbali Country Lodge on 18 July.
This will be followed by a public listening session scheduled for 19 July at the Kigali Events Centre in Lilongwe.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lilongwe, Chakwera explained that the EP project includes collaborations with emerging gospel artists.
She described the initiative as a platform to promote new talent while also reflecting on her own personal musical journey.
“The EP is more youthful, has a fresh style and is different from the Rudo most people know,” Chakwera said.
She revealed that although the EP is set for official release later this month, the listening sessions are an opportunity for fans to experience the music beforehand.
The five-track EP includes the collaborative single Wabwino featuring Abel Chungu, alongside other tracks such as Surprise, Faithful, Cholinga, and Hallelujah.
The public event on 19 July will also showcase live performances from notable artists including Kelvin Sings, KBG, and Shammah Vocals among others.
This listening party promises to be a vibrant celebration of fresh gospel sounds and cross-border artistic collaboration.
