CHIRADZULU — Renowned business magnate and former parliamentarian for Chiradzulu Central Constituency, Mahomed Hanif Osman, has officially announced his return to active politics, citing mounting pressure from community members and local leaders.
Osman, who heads the O.G Issa Group of Companies, said his decision comes after relentless calls from traditional leaders, religious figures, and constituents who have been urging him to reconsider his political hiatus.
“The local leaders — mainly chiefs and religious leaders — have been approaching me several times, but I remained hesitant because of my business commitments. It was not until last week when they came again that I finally decided to give in,” Osman revealed.

Osman, who served as Member of Parliament between 2014 and 2019, is remembered for spearheading a range of infrastructure developments in Chiradzulu Central, including roads, bridges, and classroom blocks. Beyond infrastructure, he championed community empowerment programs, particularly targeting youth and women through various loan and business initiatives.
His return is already stirring conversations in the political circles of Chiradzulu and beyond, with many awaiting to see if his second coming will revive the developmental drive he once led in the constituency.
Political analysts suggest Osman’s comeback could reshape the political landscape in the region ahead of the next elections.
