Ngwale Donates 300 Goats, Urges Voters to Back His Development Vision

By Suleman Chitera

Independent parliamentary candidate for Nyungwe in Chiradzulu, Mathews Ngwale, has made headlines after donating 300 goats to local farmers in a bold move aimed at uplifting rural livelihoods.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Ngwale emphasized that the initiative was not politically motivated but part of a long-term plan to empower households economically. He urged recipients to resist the temptation to sell the goats prematurely, noting the long-term benefits of livestock farming.

“This program is not about politics — it’s about prosperity. We want to see real development in our homes through sustainable farming,” Ngwale stated.

Ngwale further encouraged the people of Nyungwe to vote for him on September 16, promising to expand the program to benefit at least 600 people annually if elected.

One of the beneficiaries, Esther Witness, applauded the gesture, describing it as life-changing support for farmers in the area.

Ngwale’s act of generosity has stirred positive responses, with many praising him for putting development first.
