“Kudya kwafika,” or “Food has arrived,” are the words used by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) vice-presidential candidate, Jane Ansah, as she addressed residents of Nsanje today.

She urged the people in the district to cast their votes for the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Mutharika, in the upcoming September 16 elections.

Ansah highlighted that issues such as hunger, the rising cost of essential goods, and fuel shortages will become a thing of the past under a DPP government.

She explained that her statement was part of a video message she recorded while in the district.

The campaign message focused on the party’s commitment to addressing the immediate hardships faced by Malawians in their daily lives.

By linking economic relief to the DPP’s leadership, Ansah emphasized the need for voters to support Mutharika to restore stability and access to basic necessities.

Her remarks in Nsanje form part of a broader whistle-stop campaign tour aimed at rallying grassroots support ahead of the general elections.

The video and in-person engagements are designed to convey the party’s promise of tangible improvements to food security, fuel availability, and affordability of essential goods.
