Candidate advises polling staff teachers to work as professionals

An independent parliamentary candidate for Lilongwe City Nankhaka constituency Grace Chupa, has advised teachers who will be assigned to work as polling staff on the 16th September, 2025 general elections to do their work professionally in respect of their duties at school.

Chupa has also advised the teachers to refrain from being used by politicians to manipulate election figures claiming that God above the heavens will not be pleased with their work and will receive punishment for killing millions of Malawians in exchange of money.

She said teachers have a big role to play on the 16th September, 2025 elections to make sure that the elections are being conducted free, fair, transparent and credible manner reminding them that in the previous 2019 elections, some teachers were arrested for the offense of manipulating elections figures.

Speaking at Mvama primary school when she met teachers to introduce herself as a candidate, Chupa advised teachers to let God rule their life by making sure that they put Gods first in whatever they are doing in their everyday life situations.

Chupa said teachers are key to her victory on the 16th September, 2025 elections claiming that coming from a teaching background, she will carry all of their grievances and concerns to Parliament for the House to respect and honor teachers as important people in the society.

She assured the constituents of Lilongwe City- Nankhaka that they have tried others as their Members of Parliament (MPs) before, saying she is not the best than them but this time around, they should try her to see what God has planned for the constituency.

The candidate has appealed to the constituents to cry aloud to God to intervene in this year’s general elections so that there’s free, and fair elections for the winners to celebrate responsibly and the losers to accept defeat honorably.

She promised the constituents that with a little she has, she will try to share it to each and everyone in the constituency to cherish development projects assuring them that no one from outside will build their constituency except by themselves.

“Our schools are in dilapidated state, with a little money, we can renovate some areas and not just Constituency Development Fund,” said Chupa.

She said she chose to stand independent so that she should be a true representative of the people regardless of their political party affiliations reminding all that one cannot eat politics but development saying she is the rightful candidate for the 16th September, 2025 elections.
