Mzuzu, Malawi,-The Alliance For Democracy (AFORD) and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) will co-host a joint rally in Mzuzu City next Sunday, where they will unveil their manifesto to the people of the northern region.

“Expect a joint Blue Alliance mega rally on Sunday next week right here in Mzuzu City, we want to present our manifesto to Malawians, a comprehensive blueprint which will bail out Malawians from the shackles of economic catastrophe.” Chihana said.

The rally aims to introduce the DPP-AFORD Alliance and its objectives to the local leaders and the public. If the alliance wins the September 16th election, Chihana is set to become the 2nd Vice President.
This event marks Mutharika’s first visit to the northern region since forming the alliance with AFORD, dispelling rumours about his health affecting his ability to campaign.
