Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) aspiring Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre Peter Mukhito has called on the local community to support him in the upcoming general elections on September 16, 2025.
Mukhito made the appeal during the official launch of the 10 Million Bonanza at Nsambeta Primary School.
Mukhito further urged all Malawians to vote for DPP President Peter Mutharika and his running mate, Jane Ansah, in the forthcoming elections.
On his manifesto, Mukhito has put much commitment on enhancing educational standards at both primary and secondary levels within the constituency which also collaborates well with that of the DPP’s agenda which prioritizes free nursery, primary, and secondary education across the nation.

“The DPP manifesto is designed to uplift constituencies, pledging to allocate 5 billion kwacha to each constituency to support the establishment of free educational institutions,” Mukhito explained.
Mukhito who is also the DPPs Secretary General also committed to improving road and market infrastructure within the constituency and also proposed a plan to allocate 100 million kwacha to support women and youth in the area.
“We must engage our youth in constructive activities, such as organizing tournaments, to keep them involved and help them avoid negative behaviors in their communities,” he stated.
