AFORD President Enoch Chihana has made a decisive declaration in Kasungu, warning voters about the stakes of the upcoming elections.
He emphasized that citizens must exercise caution with their votes, asserting that electing opposition candidates could pave the way for DPP’s Prof. Arthur Peter Mutharika (APM) to take control of government.
Chihana specifically addressed residents of Kayesa, urging them not to support opposition candidates and highlighting the potential consequences for local governance.
He reminded voters that the election date is September 16, 2025, and that every vote in Kayesa carries significant weight in determining the outcome.
Chihana also highlighted campaign logistics, noting that the party’s efforts extend from Kalinga all the way to the Zambian border.
He stressed that voters in Kayesa should ensure their ballots are not wasted and that their support goes to Mutharika, whom he identifies as the candidate capable of delivering strong and effective leadership.
In his message, Chihana urged citizens to participate actively in the elections and to make informed decisions that promote governance continuity.
He concluded by appealing directly to voters to prioritize leadership stability and local development by casting their votes for Mutharika.
