The drive to enhance education standards in Chimwala Zone has gained momentum after the Primary Education Advisor (PEA), Symon Maziya, met with members of the Zonal Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) at the Teacher Development Centre (TDC) earlier today.

The meeting aimed at equipping committee members with a clear understanding of their roles in promoting quality education and supporting schools within the zone. As part of the new strategy, the zone has been divided into three hubs to encourage teamwork and healthy competition among schools at the hub level.

The Quality Assurance Committee includes traditional leaders and community representatives, reflecting the zone’s commitment to involving local communities in improving education delivery. Each hub will be represented by one deputy head teacher, who will coordinate activities between the schools and the zonal office.

Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Maziya said the initiative will help strengthen collaboration and accountability while ensuring that every school delivers quality education. He expressed optimism that the introduction of the hubs and the active engagement of the QAC will lead to greater consistency, improved learner outcomes, and a stronger sense of shared responsibility for education in Chimwala Zone.
