Malawi Watch Executive Director Activist Billy Banda, has described Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as a peace maker claiming that he demonstrated that he puts Malawi first and everything else behind, praying to God to give more years to his life.

Banda said if Professor Mutharika did not love Malawi, the country could have gone into political unrest, or war following the 23rd June, 2020 court sanctioned fresh presidential elections but he demonstrated to Malawians and the world that he is a peace maker.

He said Professor Mutharika accepted the June, 2020 presidential election results for the sake of peace in Malawi claiming that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera came in government through a coup de-etat after conniving with Constitutional court judges.

Speaking through an audio clip, Banda said patience brings joy saying justice must always be justified claiming that some individuals in Malawi citing Professor Mutharika and others, are being persecuted for committing no crime to Malawians.

Banda said there are many people who are languishing in the country’s prisons, but they have no case to answer saying justice is only delivered to those that have money, money is buying justice while the poor are being taken to prison.

He has asked President Chakwera that he being an ordained Priest, are his hands clean? Observing that he took the country through a coup but ending up killing one who could have been president today- Dr. Saulosi Chilima.

The activist has appealed to patriotic Malawians to join hands regardless of their political party affiliations to defend the country from being plunged into war to be started by President Chakwera and his MCP who do not want to accept that they have failed the country from moving forward.

“This is the worst-ever period Malawians are experiencing under President Chakwera and his MCP government, God has to forgive them for they don’t know that they have made Malawians to be in pain and sufferings,” said Banda.

With the High Court of Malawi siting for the Judicial review in the Mec audit system matter to be held on Monday, Banda has urged all Malawians to hold hands on this day for justice to prevail in the court ruling which will not take another 2 days.

Banda has questioned Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja that how happy is she and the State for repeated attempts praying for the entire case to be dismissed saying Mtalimanja is a shame to Malawians proposing that when the verdict will be delivered, the very same day, she should step down as Mec Chairperson.

He has finally advised the MCP and President Chakwera not to play with God saying Malawians did no go anywhere else to borrow their country, they were born in Malawi and will die in Malawi, advising court Judges to let justice prevail for the Heavens to glorify them.
