A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, says Malawians are not ready to forgive President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on fuel woos which have paralyzed businesses in the country with only 7 days to go before elections.
Kamphangala said truth to be said, the MCP through President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has failed to listen to the voices of reason, people who could offer to him and his government constructive criticism for 5 years.
He said if there was a government which could have done better in the eyes of millions of Malawians, is the MCP claiming that millions of Malawians voted Chakwera on trust in June, 2020 for him to bring in a new political mindset change in government but many are regretting to have voted for a wrong person into office.

In his address to the nation on Tuesday evening, President Chakwera asked for forgiveness on persistent fuel challenges in the country being observed by motorists forming long queues along the roads of Malawi.
President Chakwera said the fuel woos have come about because of some NOCMA officials who are conniving with opposition parties to sabotage his government for Malawians to label him as a failure saying he knows who these people are and they themselves knows that after the elections, they are going out.
Kamphangala has accused President Chakwera for failing to take decisive action immediately after getting reports that these officials are sabotaging his government observing that the statement that he is waiting to take his action after elections, this is speaking for itself that President Chakwera is not in control of the country’s affairs.
He has noted with a great concern reading Helen Buluma’s face book page that President Chakwera owes Malawians the truth as to why this country is still facing fuel scarcity saying 22 million US Dollars was paid to Oman government for the fuel which did not come to Malawi.
The MCP diehard said Julius Zimwanda Mithi on his face book has written that there is No Release Order for fuel saying Dobadobas (middlemen) inTanzania are demanding their 70 million US Dollars back before 16th September, 2025 elections and government officials are in Mozambique hunting for fuel.
He said going by the two face book pages, President Chakwera has again lied to the nation that trucks carrying fuel are coming to Malawi to normalize the fuel situation in the country advising President Chakwera to learn to accept that he has failed Malawians for forgiveness.
Kamphangala has reminded President Chakwera that in January, 1992 Ngwazi Dr. Hastings Kamuzu Banda asked Malawians to forgave him for he did not know that some people in the MCP were committing various atrocities in his name, Malawians forgave him.
“Mr. President, borrow a leaf as to what happened with Kamuzu Banda, he did not waste time blaming others, but he accepted the truth that Malawians have suffered and suffered under his reign,” he said.
He has finally joined activist Bon Kalindo who has expressed his sadness that fuel challenges are happening with only 7 days to the elections meaning that Malawi will conduct elections without fuel putting to shame President Chakwera and his MCP led government.
