Despite that Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is yet to declare results for Tuesday’s Presidential polls, a Splitter group within Malawi Congress Party (MCP) calling itself Genuine MCP Taskforce says President Lazarus Macarthy Chakwera must resign from the party presidency having lost shamefully as per what results gathered by MCP National Tally Centre.

This Publications has been informed that Chakwera will not be allowed anywhere near the MCP offices having shown his highest level of arrogance on picking his in-law Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba as running mate.

The informant said Chakwera was cautioned against being misled by outsiders to pick Mumba as running whom he said was losing popularity due to his careless handling of the business community in the country.

“We’ll soon issue a statement calling Chakwera to honourably resign from the party presidency having demonstrated the highest level of arrogance in picking Mumba as running mate,” he said.Mutharika claims K1 billion forex he left blown by MCP

He highlighted that the MCP constitution gives the party Deputy President an automatic qualification for the appointment of presidential running mate in the absence of any electoral alliance with another party.

The informant also condemned the State House sponsorship of independent parliamentary candidates whom he said most of them have defeated MCP candidates in the parliamentary polls.

“State House funded most of these independent parliamentary candidates who have defeated our (MCP) candidates, but that is a story for the another day,” he revealed.

He also wondered the logic behind the State House’s involvement in funding parallel parliamentary candidates to those on MCP ticket and some United Transformation Movement candidates who also benefited from the funds.Pastors Voice Endorses Peter Mutharika for Malawi Presidency
