Mutharika vows to see discipline and sanity in government

President-Elect Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has vowed to see that there is discipline and sanity everywhere in government promising to clean up his house to restore discipline and integrity in the government challenging every Malawian to change their mindset.

Professor Mutharika said he and the Vice President Justice Dr. Jane Ansah SC will not allow people to bring back chaos while he is cleaning up the house reminding Malawians not to say Mutharika never warned them.

He has urged the DPP to serve the many people who voted for them saying the people voted as one people and they should rise above their differences to change the country as one people in love and unity.

Writing on his face book page, Mutharika says he promise what he does and he does what he promised reminding Malawians that he promised to be back and today, they are back in government with a new vision and a new DPP agenda.

Mutharika said the DPP is now back by the will of God and the collective will of the people, saying they have all see the invisible hand of God in the historic election, advising Malawians and DPP members that they should never forget.

He said this election has reminded them that Malawians are united in one vision, dream, as one country with one purpose observing that all what Malawians wanted is change promising them that there will be real change-zinthu zisintha.

The President-Elect said the real change must begin with them, each one of them if they wanted a different Malawi, if they want a different results urging them to begin to think differently and do things differently.

He has advised his friends in the DPP and anyone in any public office to always remember that Malawi belongs to all people, the country does not belong to any person, any tribe, or any political party urging them to be in government is to serve the people, not to serve their bellies and their families.

“Let us stop the mentality that if we get into government, it is time for feasting, this attitude is killing the country,” said Mutharika.

He has advised DPP members and Malawians that government is not a feast, being in government is about serving to deliver, to change the country’s economic situation, to create jobs, and help everyone prosper in their businesses, farming and education.

Mutharika said it that feasting spirit which makes people go wild into corruption, theft, looting, and destroying this country advising Malawians to stop destroying their country saying the honeymoon of looting government is over.

“You are dealing with a different now, and you are looking at a different President, I will not allow anyone to destroy this country under my watch,” he said.
