President of the United Transformation Movement (UTM) Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, has urged UTM members and supporters to always remember that they are not the beginning nor the end of UTM journey.
Kabambe said UTM members and supporters bears a sacred duty in this relay race to pass the torch forward just as it was passed to them observing that some paid the ultimate sacrifice of life for the party, and others, have dedicated everything they have to ensure that they build a Malawi of the dreams they envisioned.
Writing on his official face book page, Dr. Kabambe said the sacrifices marked by pain and courage, fuel the spirit of transformation that drives them today saying the fallen are watching them- their sacrifices demand they fight not for narrow self- interest, but for the majority, the people of Malawi.
Kabambe has urged party members and supporters to stand firm against the noises of corruption, laziness, tribalism, impunity, nepotism, injustice, and more decay, saying they may face weaponized narratives targeting their leader but to remember the strength of the Movement that formed the party to lead them forward.
“We deserve a people centred economy- one that empowers every Malawian, not just a privileged few,” reads Kabambe’s writings on the wall.
He said the party’s vision is rooted in the beginning when their forefathers fought for their independence saying under the 3rd Revolution that vision remains alive “Malawi first, one nation, one vision and one UTM.”
The UTM president said the vision of Malawi first and one nation is a call for unity, resilience, and unwavering commitment to a better Malawi- a nation where hope triumphs over despair, and where every voice is heard.
He has finally urged UTM members and supporters to honor those who came before them carrying their legacy with humility and courage by forging a future where transformation is not just a dream but a reality for all Malawians.
